2025 BATT Lab Open House Event
In May 2025, BATT hosted an open house event to connect with industry partners and showcase the latest in asphalt innovation. We were especially proud to debut our expanded binder lab, featuring new equipment and increased capacity to support advanced testing, faster turnaround times, and more customized service. Thanks to all who joined us to celebrate this exciting milestone!
BATT hosts students in the SEEK Program
In June 2025 the BATT Team hosted students attending the University of Kentucky College of Engineering's Summer Engineering Exploration Kamp (SEEK) for high school seniors. We’re delighted to partner with UK, along with SEEK sponsors Kentucky Association of Highway Contractors and Plantmix Asphalt Industry of KY, to provide hands-on learning opportunities through a tour of our lab facility. As you’ll see in the photos, the students paid rapt attention to what they saw and heard, and the Women of Asphalt wall in our binder lab was a particular favorite of the ladies.
The BATT Team gives back.

Women of Asphalt
We had the wonderful opportunity to host the Women of Asphalt Kentucky Branch Winter Series Tour at the #BATTLab in November 2022. It was a great event with many attendees across Kentucky. We're proud to be supporters of #WofA and WofA in Kentucky.

We Support Scouting
The BATT Lab proudly support scouting in many ways, including providing space in our lab where scout troops and dens can meet. We serve on committees and continually volunteer time and financial support to help young people learn and enjoy the benefits of scouting. We recently welcomed Pack 2014 to ride with us on the BATT float in the 2022 Richmond Christmas Parade.
